By enlisting in the Blackridge RPG, you authorize the Bureau to assign you an operational alias. You agree to maintain the confidentiality of your credentials. Any breach of security within your personal dossier is your responsibility.
Agents are expected to operate within the mechanical constraints provided by the Bureau. Any attempt to manipulate the reality of the simulation through unauthorized technological means (scripting, automation, or exploitation of systemic flaws) will result in immediate disavowal and removal from the field.
Blackridge is a competitive, persistent multiplayer environment. To preserve a fair economy and balanced gameplay, all operatives must abide by the rules and standards set forth in this section.
Players may not create, operate, control, or use additional accounts for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage. Prohibited multi-account activities include, without limitation, utilizing secondary, auxiliary, or alternate accounts to:
Blackridge recognizes that multiple players may legitimately access the game from a shared household, network, educational facility, or workplace. Merely sharing an Internet Protocol (IP) address does not, by itself, prove multi-accounting. When investigating potential account abuse, Blackridge evaluates a comprehensive totality of technical, behavioral, timing, and transactional factors based on available evidence.
Players are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of their accounts and authentication credentials. Accounts should not be shared, transferred, traded, sold, purchased, or knowingly accessed by unauthorized individuals. Players should not knowingly use credentials, tokens, or sessions belonging to another player or another account.
Players may not knowingly access, use, or attempt to gain access to test accounts, developer accounts, administrator accounts, debugging accounts, internal accounts, or any accounts not intended for public gameplay. This prohibition applies strictly even if credentials, sessions, or access permissions for such accounts are accidentally exposed, leaked, or technically accepted by the game.
Discovery of an accessible internal, developer, administrative, or test account should be reported immediately to game administration rather than accessed or used. Players may not use such accounts to obtain money, items, stats, XP, property, vehicles, aircraft, equipment, gang benefits, market advantages, or any other gameplay benefit.
Players may not knowingly exploit bugs, unintended mechanics, software defects, security weaknesses, race conditions, item duplication flaws, improperly configured accounts, or other unintended behavior to gain an advantage. If a player discovers a potentially serious exploit or abnormal behavior, they should cease utilizing it immediately and submit an incident report. Repeated or continued use after discovering that behavior is unintended may be treated as intentional exploitation.
Players may not knowingly receive, transfer, hide, launder, sell, trade, convert, invest, gift, or otherwise move money, items, or other value obtained through an exploit or unauthorized account. This includes moving value through:
Blackridge may temporarily restrict or suspend an account while investigating suspected security incidents, exploitation, or abnormal economic activity. A temporary restriction is an investigatory measure and does not necessarily mean the player has been found responsible for misconduct.
Depending on the nature, severity, and history of the violation, Blackridge may take corrective actions including, but not limited to:
When practical, remediation should avoid unnecessarily affecting unrelated legitimate progression or uninvolved players. Blackridge reserves the right to investigate suspicious activity and preserve relevant account, authentication, and activity records for security and game-integrity purposes. Blackridge does not guarantee that exploit-derived or lost items, currency, or transactions can always be identified, restored, or reversed in all instances.
All currency, gear, and assets acquired during operations remain the virtual property of the Blackridge simulation. These assets hold no value in the "civilian" world and cannot be exchanged for legal tender.
The Bureau reserves the right to terminate any agent's service at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. Disrespecting the immersion of the environment, violating fair play guidelines, or compromising the safety of other operatives are primary grounds for discharge.
Operations in Blackridge involve digital risks. The Bureau is not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or the "emotional distress" caused by losing a high-stakes bribe or a street brawl. You operate at your own risk.
